Book - Jane Eyre
"My pulse stopped - my heart stood still, my stretched arm was paralyzed." In Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë Jane goes through many trivial events. Jane lives in England during the 1800s. Jane grows up living with her relatives who send her off to Lowood School. Jane then becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall which is where love arises between Jane Eyre and her employer Mr. Rochester. Jane is a plain girl who is well-educated and is Adéle's governess. Mr. Rochester is a stone-faced man who is extremely rich.
Jane Eyre is a fictional novel which does include a bit of mystery involving Jane. This novel is narrated in first person by Jane. Throughout this novel I could relate to Jane. The descriptiveness of Jane Eyre caused me to become immersed in it. "I wish I could forget the roll of the red eyes and the fearful blackened inflation of the lineaments." I was surprised often by Jane's spur of the moment actions. I would recommend this book to anyone in high school or older for there is some older vocabulary. If you like classic novels you would love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. Charlotte Brontë also wrote Shirley and Villette.
