Poems Of Herrick

Poems of Herrick (1950) – Edited by J.C. Squire – Nelson Classics
Sold by Crappy Old Books

A charmingly battered volume from Nelson Classics, this 1950 edition of Poems of Herrick gathers the lyrical finery of Robert Herrick under the watchful editorial eye of J.C. Squire. Expect pastoral flirtations, odes to blossoms, and the occasional dash of carpe diem, all delivered in that cheerfully antique tone Herrick perfected. The book itself shows its age—foxing, soft corners, and that distinct scent of academic neglect—but still holds together like an old friend who refuses to leave the party. Perfect for lovers of 17th-century verse, mildly crumbling paperbacks, and literary optimism in rough condition.

Another proudly imperfect gem from Crappy Old Books—because new books don’t smell like this.

Not sure of the date, but its quite old. Small hardback with plastic coated dust jacket. 470 pages.
