Book Repairs – The Naked Island
Clearly the boards are faded. Following on from the Kirkeskuden example, I intend to use some ink here to gradually restore the colour.
This is really an experiment and ongoing. The book is not scanned onto the web site yet. I sort of finished this but the images of the finish were not the ones I wanted to use as its my messy desk but in case I forget, you can see the finish after washing with ink colour. The images look better than the thing in real life which has clear brush marks, but its a much better way than acrylics.
