Book Repairs – England - Their England
This was a fairly complex repair, in part because I chose to paint it after. THe damage to the spin meant that the covers were not attached and were flapping, so I needed a new hinge which I made with black card and glued into place. I then gave it an under coat of acrylic after which I mixed up an orange from the various colours I have and got a near match. The paint took way to long. However, it seems some what passable, and its strong as well. I also put a smaller single hinge to the bottom spine and similarly painted.
